Ages 18+. Step into the roots of salsa with our Cuban Son class. Son is the elegant, grounded dance that gave birth to modern salsa. In this class, we'll explore the rhythm, footwork, and partner work that make Son feel both sophisticated and deeply musical. This class is designed for dancers who want to deepen their understanding of Cuban dance and add a more refined, traditional style to their repertoire. Prerequisite: students must have been enrolled in our Intermediate Salsa class during 2026 or have the instructor's permission to participate. This ensures everyone has the foundational timing, lead/follow skills, and partner work needed to get the most out of the class.
Participants must be registered three days before the start of class.
To help with practice at home, students are encouraged to film the summary at the end of each class. Recording during the instruction time is not allowed.
Drop-In Fees: Resident: $12.00 / Non-Resident: $15.00

Eliza Doolittle is a young flower seller with an unmistakable Cockney accent which keeps her in the lower rungs of Edwardian society. When Professor Henry Higgins tries to teach her how to speak like a proper lady, an unlikely friendship begins to flourish.
When Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady opened on Broadway, it collected six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, while the film version took home eight Oscars, including Best Picture. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady is that rare musical by which all others are measured. The tale of a cockney flower girl transformed into an elegant lady features one of musical theatre’s greatest scores, including: “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?,” “With a Little Bit of Luck,” “The Rain in Spain,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to the Church on Time,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
In this production, experience the music foremost, with our full orchestra playing to you from center stage and excellent vocalists acting the dramatic parts.
